Susan Cappelletti had caregiver fatigue. She was working as a registered nurse AND serving as the primary caregiver for her mother, who lives with Susan in their Columbia County home.

Her mom has Parkinson’s Disease and requires supervision to prevent a fall. How could Susan balance her career and her commitment to caring for her mom at home, not in a nursing home?? There simply weren’t enough hours in the day. “Though I am a nurse, a caregiver, this was a challenge I had not expected,” she said. “To watch your family member progress in their disease and deterioration and to try to meet the needs as they change. That was eye-opening for me.”
