Thank You For Your Service: Planning for Veterans

On this Memorial Day weekend when our country honors servicemembers who have made the ultimate sacrifice, Life Happens radio focuses on the planning and resources available to military families and veterans.

During this show, Host Lou Pierro speaks with two special guests from the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center: Peter Potter, Public Affairs Director and Darryl Benson, Program Support Assistant and Enrollment Specialist. They describe the many benefits offered to veterans that include healthcare at 12 locations across a 22-county region. Peter and Darryl also cover the enrollment process to take advantage of resources both for veterans and for families who have lost their loved ones in the military.

Estate planning is also a vital need for our service members. Lou describes the Core Four documents and the rules that can be unique to veterans who want to protect assets and finance the cost of long-term care.
