Alzheimer’s Update: Meeting the Challenges and Walking to End It!

 In this Life Happens podcast, our guest Beth Boivin, Executive Director of the Alzheimer’s Association of Northeastern New York, shared an update on tireless efforts to fight the disease as well as this year’s “Walk to End Alzheimer’s.”

 Beth was joined by elder law attorney Lou Pierro and care coordinator Susan Vail to discuss new initiatives, including an online program called EASE for people with early-stage memory loss, and a new app called Science Hub.

 They also shared the latest planning strategies for families and caregivers, the cost of care and how to pay for it, and new research on Alzheimer’s risk factors and treatment.
