Albany – Pierro, Connor & Strauss, LLC is proud to announce that founding partner Louis W. Pierro has been named “2022 Lawyer of the Year” in the practice area of Elder Law in Albany, New York.
The honor was announced by Best Lawyers, regarded as the most credible measure of legal integrity and distinction in the United States. Only a single lawyer in each practice area and community is honored with a “Lawyer of the Year” award. Mr. Pierro received the same “Lawyer of the Year” distinction in 2014 and 2018 as well.
The recognition is based on a rigorous peer-review survey. In addition to the honor, Pierro will be highlighted in the 28th Edition of The Best Lawyers in America for “high caliber work in the practice area of Elder Law.”
“I am humbled and honored that my colleagues have given me this distinction,” said Pierro, who grew up in Hudson and has practiced elder law for 37 years. A graduate of Albany Law School and Lehigh University, Pierro also focuses on estate planning, special needs planning, tax and business law. To better serve seniors and people with disabilities in the community, he is also the founder and President of ApolloCare, LLC, a company that integrates home care management and innovative technology to help people maintain independence through real-time health monitoring, as well as improve communication with families and providers.
