DYLON T. NEWKIRK, ESQ.
Associate Attorney
Dylon Newkirk practices in the areas of estate planning, Medicaid planning and estate administration. He joined Pierro, Connor & Strauss, LLC as an associate attorney in January 2025 following admittance to the New York State Bar Association. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Newkirk worked as a Law Clerk at the Firm for nearly two years.
EDUCATION
Mr. Newkirk earned his J.D. from Albany Law School in 2024 and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2025. During his time at Albany Law, he served as a judicial intern at the Albany County Surrogate’s Court and held various executive board positions. He was treasurer of the Historical Society of the New York Courts-Albany Law Chapter, Social Media Director for the Albany Law Golf Club, and treasurer and Assistant Captain for the Albany Law Hockey Club.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Outside of his legal practice, Dylon is deeply committed to community involvement and enjoys staying active in a variety of pursuits. An avid golfer, he regularly participates in local tournaments, fostering connections and camaraderie with others who share his passion for the sport. Additionally, Mr. Newkirk is a dedicated athlete, actively involved in box lacrosse and hockey, where he enjoys both the competitive spirit and the teamwork these sports offer.
When he’s not on the field or rink, he enjoys hunting, and appreciating the outdoors and its connection to his personal values. As a member of the Rensselaer Elks Lodge, Dylon also contributes to local charitable efforts, supporting the lodge’s community service initiatives. These activities allow him to engage with others in the community while maintaining a well-rounded and balanced lifestyle.
